Cross Country / 11/11 Meet of Champions Result...
Last post by Nick - November 14, 2023, 03:15:04 PM
Here are the results of this afternoon's Meet of Championships competition at Holmdel Park. It was another crisp autumn day and fantastic day for racing fast at Holmdel. After an incredible race last weekend, we absolutely earned our spot on the line with the other most elite teams of New Jersey! It was an incredibly fast race as soon as the starting pistol sounded, however, we ran extremely well and held on despite the speed of the race. For more than a third of the year we trained immensely hard to achieve a dream run to exit the cross country season with the state title...and as Coach Grady had perfectly put it, "Mission Accomplished!" Although it is sad to see this dream season come to a close, we look very much forward to continuing this championship mindset and success into the winter and spring track seasons! We are all so incredibly proud of you and your accomplishments! Look back on this season with pride that you not only went the distance but came out on top! Up the Crusaders!!!

Here are the results of this morning’s NJSIAA State Championships at Holmdel Park. It was a perfect weather day and our athletes were dialed in and focused on their one and only goal…to be at the top of the podium. It was their peak race and everything they have been training for since mid-summer and they were ready to give the performance of the season and the performance of their careers. The boys ran fearlessly and confidently in an extremely competitive race in a very tough course. And in a race where we needed all 5 of our runners to preform at their best, we had all 5 of our runners preform at their best! Everyone kept close the goal they had at hand and everyone ran what they needed to run which resulted in a 2nd and 5th place finish, and huge Holmdel PRs…including an outstanding time at Holmdel for our sole freshman who had never experienced the course in either competition or training! All of these pieces fit perfectly into place which ultimately resulted in us taking home the NPB State Championship title! Along with this championship, we also take with us the honor of now being the South Jersey team with third most state championship titles and also the All State Non Public team with the third most state championship titles! Absolutely outstanding to all of you, boys! Your hard work and dedication and laser focus was an inspiration to everyone who followed your journey throughout the season! We are so proud of you and are grateful to have been with you all this season! We look forward to not only continuing our season for another week to have a great showing at the Meet of Champions, but we cannot wait to work with you all in the track & field seasons! Congratulations, lads!! Up the Crusaders!!!

Here are the results of this morning's Bob Kiessling Invitational meet at Dream Park. It was our final Dream Park meet of the season and our last opportunity to run on a fast, flat course. We ran incredibly well with 3 finishing in the top 10 and 2 huge PRs! More importantly, it was a huge day for the team as a whole to really show that they can work extremely well together and improve together. We are more than ready for our state championship race next Saturday at Holmdel!!

Here are the results of this afternoon’s Olympic Conference Championship.
This was our first major championship of the season and our first real opportunity to race all together as a complete team. Today we showed everyone that we are not only a very capable and talented team, but that we are also a very focused team and very ready to run tough at an elite level. Despite being in a very fast and very competitive race, we had our best individual and team performances of the season which included several PRs, a 7th place finish amongst all conference schools, a 2nd place finish amongst all National Division schools, first team and second team all conference award honors, and an unbelievable first time 5K performance!! Extremely well done to each and every member of the team! Good things are coming!

Cross Country / 10/7 South Jersey Open Results
Last post by Nick - October 11, 2023, 02:58:56 PM
Here are the results from this morning’s South Jersey Open race at Dream Park. It was our first real opportunity to race a 5K in very good weather conditions and on a flat course.  Although we did not have a complete varsity team, our main goal was to run not only a smart race but to run it with an emphasis on mental toughness as well. Despite still being far away from our peak performances of the season and without a complete team, we proved dominant in our race! We had runners in a tight grouping at the front which resulted in a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finish! Along with those medals earned, we also had huge PRs and some very important season bests! Even though we still have a long way to go for our ultimate goal, today proved that we are well on course to do some amazing and special things this year! Well done to all!

Here are the results of this morning’s Shore Coaches Invite from Holmdel Park. This was our first opportunity to showcase our abilities as a team on our state championship course and despite the drizzle and muddy conditions on the course, we did our job and performed incredibly well! Among our achievements today are our top 3 runners finishing in the top 20 of a field of 169 runners! We really showed that we have improved as a team and that we are going to be in strong contention for a top finish at the state championships! As we discussed, we still have much to go in order to ensure a top finish and the work that we will do will be ramped up in a big way…but we are ready for the challenge and to be focused and dialed in on the prize. Well done, boys! Keep up the pressure and get ready to kick in to a higher gear!
